Ital Power Soundsystem, based in West London, UK, specialises in reggae, dub, and roots music. The sound system was built in 2008 under the guidance of Robert Tribulation (Word Sound & Power Soundsystem) and the Mighty Tabot Soundsystem. It officially launched in 2009 through WSP Promotions.

Ital Power Studio also began operations in 2008, paving the way for the creation of the Ital Power music label, which was launched in 2011. Before the label’s establishment, other renowned labels were releasing music from the studio. Notable sound systems such as Jah Shaka, King Alpha, Word Sound & Power, and Iration Steppas frequently played music produced at Ital Power Studio.

The selectors and operators, Brothers Mick and Shash, were born into the reggae and dub music tradition. Completing the trio is Benji Roots, a versatile mic man, chanter, dub poet, and artist who has been active in the music scene since the 1990s as part of Lion Roots Sound.
